In order to increase the durability of perishable products, to ensure their seasonality and proper transportation, it is necessary to have rooms that can create and maintain a temperature lower than the ambient temperature, as well as a suitable humidity level. In order to achieve this and reduce the heat transfer in the room, special attention is required to select the most suitable equipment, starting with the insulating materials and with it the compressor.
The required cooling capacity for a cold room; It depends on various factors such as the heat transfer on the walls and the air infiltration caused by the door openings, the cooling of the products and the internal heat production. In order to calculate the cooling capacity and protect the products, a program that can evaluate all these may be needed.
Frascold Cold Room Calculator provides an easy way to get accurate and fast results. Frascold Cold Room Calculation Program, which works integrated with the selection software, ensures that the most suitable compressor is selected for what is specifically needed.
YOU CAN FIND THE DETAILED EXPLANATION ON THE FRASCOLD COLD ROOM CALCULATION PROGRAM BELOW
Step 1. First, the Frascold Selection Software is opened. (Picture 1)
Step 2
It is necessary to mark the Selection Calculation Option as indicated by the arrow in Picture 2.
Step 3
After selecting the option in step 2, the Cold Room Calculation option that appears at the point indicated by the arrow should be selected. (see Picture 3)
Step 4
There are 6 tabs on the screen that opens after the Cold Room Calculation option is selected.
Descriptions of the tabs are given below.
General: It is necessary to enter the dimensions of the cold room (Length, Width and Height) and the desired conditions of the room. (Room temperature, Humidity amount, Working hours) (Picture 4)
Transmission: It is necessary to specify the environmental conditions and to choose the thickness and type of insulation material. (Picture 5)
Infiltration: It is necessary to choose the outside weather conditions and the door opening frequency. (Picture 6)

Products: It is necessary to enter information about the product to be stored in the cold room. (Product quantity and type, daily product circulation, product entry temperature, etc.) (Picture 7)
After entering the information about the product, the Add button must be pressed. (Picture 8, Picture 9)

Internal Generation: It is necessary to fill in the necessary parameters for the calculation of the heat load arising from the equipment in the room. (Evaporator fans, Defrost heaters, Light, etc.) (Picture 10, Picture 11)
Result: You can see the calculated cooling load here after all the information has been entered completely. (Picture 12)

You can print out the technical document from the Print button on the Result tab.
When you press the OK button, you can see the appropriate compressor selected by the program for you, completing all the operations. (Picture 13, Picture 14, Picture 15)
