CASTEL HEAVY DUTY SOLENOID VALVES ARE NOT FEAR OF EXTREME TEMPERATURES

Only Castel valves work perfectly when used for oil management in extreme cold temperatures.

Thanks to their heavy-duty construction, these valves are very responsive and provide a long life.

In the standby state of the system, the oil exhibits a very high viscosity, especially at very low ambient temperatures. In these conditions of oil, it is difficult to open solenoid valves, but not for Castel series 13 valves!

Thanks to their excellent service design and extremely robust components, the 13 series solenoid valves are already responsive even at high oil viscosities and always ensure the correct and continuous flow of oil to the compressor.

Series 13 solenoid valves can be used as hot gas bypass valves and liquid injection valves between the high and low pressure sides of a system.

These valves are designed for applications that require a high on-off solenoid valve for a short time to ensure accurate regulation of the temperature of the refrigerant. All this is once again guaranteed by the robustness of the valve.

Structure

NC pulse solenoid valves are equipped with a special reinforced magnetic unit (moving piston + valve sleeve) specially designed to guarantee a very high number of duty cycles compared to a standard NC solenoid valve.

Operation

Series 13 valves are normally closed valves (NC). This means that when the coil is not energized,

the piston shuts off the fluid flow. When the coil is energized, the piston opens the valve seat connecting the inlet to the outlet.

In the direct-acting version, the operation of the valve depends only on the magnetic field produced by the current to the coil. The opening/closing of the main valve seat, which is a single seat, is directly controlled by the movable piston.

These valves can operate with zero pressure difference.

Pilot type piston versions of the 13 series valves are also available.

Their work depends not only on the magnetic field created by the current to the coil, but also at the minimum inlet pressure necessary for:

• open the plunger and continue to open for the main opening

• close the piston and ensure the tightness of the main opening

The opening/closing of the main valve seat is controlled by the piston, while the opening/closing of the pilot seat is controlled by the movable piston and coil.

These valves cannot operate with zero differential pressure.
